On The Boat - Live Music Video Series

At Forecastle fest, the music not only takes over Louisville’s Waterfront Park, but it’s also known to spill out into every corner of the city. For its “On The Boat” video series, The Wild Honey Pie were looking for production companies in New York that could help tell the story of what Forecastle fest is all about. That’s where we came in. We flew down to Louisville and set out to create video content that captures those intimate, and sometimes unexpected, performances that can take place after hours, and even beyond the festival grounds. With each music video, we created a portrait of one concertgoer’s adventures, revealing the many sides of the three-day music event, from Cathedrals’s sultry, riverside duet to a local house party with Broncho at the mic. The day unfolds with Modest Mouse on stage and closes with a glimpse of Milo Greene giving a private, acoustical performance in the band’s hotel room. The goal was to craft a narrative that wove each of these moments together, bringing the whole Forecastle fest experience to life.
