How do you build excitement for a highly anticipated new Netflix series? With an epic pop-up wedding in the middle of New York City!

As part of a social campaign for Netflix's The Umbrella Academy, our NYC production company partnered with Ralph and Time Out New York to produce, film, and edit a snackable wedding video featuring two Umbrella Academy SUPER fans getting hitched beneath a 60 foot black umbrella in Bryant Park.

A frenzied day where anything could happen, we divided our video production crew into two—one at the hotel conducting interviews and capturing b-roll of the couple, while the other covered a 50 person musical parade down Times Square, attracting intrigue and interest in the event. 

The day culminated in Bryant Park for the ceremony, where our two crews captured Kat and Ducky getting married in front of their friends, families, and thousands of strangers. Three days of round-the-clock work later, we delivered a seamless edit (including sound, color correction, music, and animation) to Netflix for posting across their social channels in advance of the show's premiere date. 

As of January 2020, Netflix Umbrella Academy Wedding garnered 418,526 views on YouTube.
